Ward

Definition

A Ward is person with a court-appointed guardian due to their inability to manage their own affairs. Wards maintain the right to challenge their guardian’s actions and petition the court to replace the guardian.

Terminology involving conservatorship and guardianship vary by jurisdiction. As a result, a ward may be called a conservatee in your area.
